Pagosa Springs, CO– Pagosa Springs, known for it’s hot springs, is also home to the Wolf Creek Ski area. This makes it an affordable destination and an enjoyable one for those looking for more than hitting the slopes during the winter.
Colorado is obviously home to some infamous ski resorts as well. Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, and Winter Park are major ski destinations during the winter months. Plan your next Colorado destination during the summer or winter months, and explore what the Rockies, and the Colorado environment has to offer.
Denver International Airport will be the major airport to arrive in if you are traveling by air. There are smaller airports scattered throughout Colorado that you may be able to arrive into, depending on your final destination.
The Colroado weather is what some call Bi-Polar. Keep this in mind year round if you are visiting the state. The summer months can bring about some wicked thunderstorms, while the winter months will bring about sudden, intense winter storms. It may be sunny one minute and a complete blizzard or thunderstorm the next. Properly plan when outdoors, and always check the forecast.
